ACTION FAILED - MACRO NAME - WORKS AS ADMIN

Mike

I am having problems running macros from a Access 2002
database.

A regular user cannot run them, thet get an ACTION FAILED
message with the macro name with an option to HALT.

After that message is closed an ACCESS ERROR occurs that
states THE ACTION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED.

An administrator account has no problems running these
macros.

I checked all rights settings on the folders and the files
and gave the user full control and made sure that they are
not inheriting rights from above. Still no luck.

I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

Just to add....

THe problem occurs on a windows XP machine.

It seems to be ok on a windows 98 machine.

Could this be a profile issue????

Any suggestions???

HERE IS WHAT THE ISSUE WAS.

In the Macro that attempted to run, a print preview of a
report was generated.

The problem had nothing to do with ACCESS or the PROFILE.
It turned out to be the DEFAULT PRINTER on the machine.

When it was set to be a networked HP4100, the macro would
not run.

When set to a local printer, it worked fine.

Go figure. Just thought I would pass on the info.
