Have you tried disabling ACPI in the BIOS?

Exactly how you do this will depend on your system. The key you press at
power-up is usually displayed on screen - "press <keyname> to enter setup".
It's usually F2, F10, or DEL. Find the Power Management setup section
and set ACPI to disabled; save and restart.

On some systems, you must power down, not just restart, to get to the point
where you can get into the BIOS.

Contact the PC manufacturer and check if there is a BIOS update available for the PC.
