acer travelmate 2200 series recovery disc

hi all

I attempted to do a refresh of my laptop using the recovery disc supplied, on disc 2-2 it came up with an error and wouldnt read the disc. No the laptop wil not work, Has anyone got any ideas or got any recovery disc around for me try.

is there a way you can recover from a partition on the hard drive?

I know for my Sony you can do that.

The only other way I can think of is to find someone with the EXACT same laptop as you got to make a set of recovery disks for you or ring up Acer. I presume the latter will be more difficult.
