Acer Aspire 5020 - Broadcom WLan Card

Hey Guys,

I have an "Acer Aspire 5020" and installed Vista Beta 2 successfully.
It seems to be no problem to get drivers for my hardware - components and
everything's doing fine.
But when I tried to get my Broadcom-BuiltIn-Wireless-Card (802.11b) running
won't work.
I have installed the Acer LaunchManager and the Atheros Driver but nothing
happens.

Can anyone help?

I also have an Acer Aspire 5020 and recently installed Vista x64 but cannot
get the drivers for the network adapter to install. Did you install the
64-bit version of Vista, and if so, how did you get the network adapter
driver to install correctly?

I too have the same problem. It seems that the problem is related to the
magic hotkey.sys file. I have managed to get the keys at the top of the
computer functioning. I.e. (that's an unfortunate pun :)) the internet,
e-mail etc.

I think it's going to be a case of contacting acer for an upgrade. As in a
normal installation the hotkey.sys file sits in c:\windows\system32\
directory. Doing a bit of jiggery pokery and copying the file into there does
not work.

Also checked to see if changing the permissions on running the sys file
might help, but alas, no. :(
