accuratelz checking the license???

Reinstalled XP Pro with SP1 slipstreamed. Applied DX9b, Net framework & SP2, a few drivers. Then Office 2003 &, after that, all hotfixes that I saved in few directories where installed using a .cmd file contains for %%1 in do.

Restart and when I boot it states "A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code 0x80004005."

I cannot get past the log on screen.

I have Safe Mode access.

Any ideas?

already tried both solutions and with no use.

Solved it uninstalling by hand each hotfix.

After 44 uninstalls & almost as many reboots, the problem is identified as the patch no. 811632, which I don't even know why I downloaded in the first place 'cause it applies to Windows Media Center.

Anyway, if you run into error 0x80004005, check for this one and uninstall it from safe mode.

Merry Christmas to everybody!
