Accounts and business contacts

My accounts and business contacts emptied their contents. The files remain in
the documents and settings file but I cannot open them or import the back up.
I now have what appear to be new but empty accounts and business contact
folders in my contacts folders. The original files appear in the address book
list but cannot be opened.

I did down load the hotfix package but it made matters worse and so I
uninstalled it
Any thoughts anyone I recreate?

I think you are linked to the wrong BCM database.

Your data should still be fine. Go to file -> data files management and
re-add the old database.

Explain the "it made matters worse" statement.
