accidently deleted a page, need it back

I used FrontPage to make my website. I accidently deleted a webpage (htmlbasics.html) while using FrontPage. Any ideas how to get it back? I deleted it off the server as well. I thought it would be in the recycle bin, wasn't. Any ideas where it would be?

Hi Coop,

This may not be what you want to hear..but unless you have another backup of
the page..or unless your host has a different backup of the site before you
deleted it (and is willing to restore it) You might be out of luck

Unfortunately when a page is deleted using FrontPage it is "gone." FrontPage doesn't recycle.

However, if you're using FP2002 you "might" find a copy in the FrontPage temporary files.
Do a search for files named *.tmp or look for a folder named FrontPageTempDir

If you have opened the page in Internet Explorer, you may find it in the
Temporary Internet Files - assuming you have not cleared the browser cache.

Thanks. But you would think the page would have to go somewhere wouldn't
it?

maybe open the server web and right click the file in question and chose
"publish selected files" and shoot it back down to the local computer.

There's a remote chance the old page might be found at
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
(at least to salvage any content)
