accidentally deleted photos from the copy from camera application

I have moved my pictures from the camera and deleted them using the Xp app.
When I was reviewing them I selected one picture and deleted it. This however
seems to have deleted all my picturees and I cannot find them anywhere. The
picutres were being saved in a shared folder. i cannot find the picturees in
any recyle bin or by using any kind of search.
Any ideas on how to retrieve them?
