Hi all.
I plan on setting up a server that once setup will have no monitor.I plan on
using Windows 2000 Professional Is possible to access 2000 Pro from XP Pro
so I can see what is happening on the server from my Windows XP Pro system.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

you need to download and install this in your windows
2000 box
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientd
l.asp
then from windows XP you need to go to start all programs
accessories communications then choose remote desktop
connection type your server IP and a valid account with
password then connect remember with default settings in
the group policy it will not accept the accounts with a
blank passwords and it will treat it as invalid passworso
you should use account with a password i hope you find it
useful

Hi XP_2600
I followed the link and looked at the description of the software. Just
confirming that you can access the Windows 2000 system from Windows XP Pro.
The way I read it is that with the software you can access the Windows XP
Pro system from the Windows 2000 system, which is the wrong way around than
what I was after.
Thanks
Mark
