accessing win2k encrypted data in winxp

Subject = Accessing Data From Windows 2000 Encrypted Folder or Drive In
Windows XP.

Hi Dear News Group Friends,

Recently I encrypted one of my folder that contained extremely important
data with windows 2000. but I cant open it in windows xp pro. Any idea how
to get out of this hell

You need to create a user account with same user/password as you
used on W2K and then you need to import your efs private key [I hope you
exported a copy for safekeeping] into the user certificate store on XP while
logged on as that user. The efs private key is stored in the user profile,
and there is also a recovery agent on a W2K installation when EFS is used.
