I am fairly New To this Stuff...

I have 3 Desktops and 1 Laptop all hooked to Verizon DSL I Have the Westell
VersaLink Model 327W Router which is hooked up to a Linksys 10/100 8-Port
Workgroup Switch... I can connect remotely in the house to any of the other
desktops but let's say i take my laptop to a hotspot location or the mall
which has Wi-Fi Access, I can never connect to any of my IP Addresses.

AEHSMCPS789-1 Desktop 1 192.168.1.46
AEHSMCPS789-2 Desktop 2 192.168.1.45
AEHSMCPS789-3 Laptop 192.168.1.47 (In the house)
AEHSMCPS789-4 Desktop 3 192.168.1.44

At the mall i have a different IP everytime I am there, what am i not doing
correctly, am i not allowing my computers to be accessing publically? Can
someone please explain to me Step-By-Step on how to do this. Please any help
would be apreciated. Thanks Again Jason

I've tried also using PC anywhere to access the computers remotely and still
unable to access, and Ultra-VNC. Thank you

Hi there, if you're not using a real ip at home, you cannot connect via internet. I don't know if someone else knows any trick to do it.
Good Luck.

Jason,

You would need to forward TCP Port 3389 through the router to the XP Pro
desktop you want to access/connect with. Call using the public IP of the
router, i.e. the IP assigned by your ISP.

If you want to connect to any of the three desktops then there are a few
strategies to use including opening multiple ports on the router or running
Remote Desktop through a SSH or VPN tunnel. Personally I use the SSH
method...
