Hi everybody, this seems so basic but I can't figure it out. I made a
backup of my music files on a DVD-RW by dragging and dropping and
installed a new hard drive. Now when I pop the disc in the explorer
screen shows no files even though it recognizes that the disc is full.
So now I can't get these files off of the disc. In the details area it
says the file system is UDF. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try installing the same program that you used to do the "Drag & Drop"
(Packet Writing) with. Packet writing is a fine way to lose your
valuable files, you should NEVER use it for making important backup files!

Thanks for the Reply John, the only problem is I didn't really use a
program, I just cut and pasted them via XP... Hopefully they aren't
lost but I have definately learned my lesson on this one!

I think this solves my problem, you were right I did previously have
Sonic software on my computer which isn't there now, hopefully once
reinstalled it will work. Thanks a million John! have a great weekend!

You're welcome.

John
