accessing designtated adult areas

dave

i have been running windows xp for 2 yrs now with never a
hiccup. just recently tho, i have found that i am not
longer able to acesss anything in Yahoo that is deemed
adult, over 18, This includes yahoo profiles, yahos
groups, etc if they have been deemed an over 18 adult
site. I cant even get into a group that i am a member of.
I guess its important that i say that i am 51 and
registered as such with yahoo. When i go to visit a
personal profile for example, if it's designated adult, i
get the normal page asking to certify that you are over 18
by entering your yahoo id and password. I do this as
normal, but now it just goes back to the page stating that
it is an adult site.

I am really kind of ignorant with computers, but here are
things i have tried to no avail. i contacted yahoo help
section by email and got form letter instructions as to
how to open a profile. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
Yahoo messenger. I have used the system restore to no
avail, all that accompished was losing my arhcives. I even
have tried reducing every bit of security to a minumum in
case it was a security problem. It sounds a lot like one
of these child proof filters has been installed, but i
really dont know what to look for. Any help out there?

Dave:
Sounds like you need to up date your Yahoo Profile, and make sure your age
is there.
I hope this helps.
