Trying desparately to delete Internet Explorer via MS Dos. Get A prompt but can't get it to locate C drive. I've tried capital and lower case C, cd, etc. Suggestions?

P.S. Can't remove it via Windows Explorer as it keeps reappearing after delete. My OE is corrupt. Can't reinstall cause it keeps telling me a newer version has been detected. TIA! Marcie

Hi, Internet Explorer is part of the OS. It can't be removed.

The reason you can't access the hard drive from DOS is most likely because
your hard drive is formatted in NTFS, which DOS can't read.

How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows
XP
