Almost every email that is coming in whether it be spam or from those I know
well is triggerig the 'A program is attempting to access your address book.
Do you want to allow this?' message and I have to click No 4 times for each
email. Is this infection of every other PC (and Mac) in the world or a
problem with Outlook? Anyone help me at all?

Thanks all

Phil

It's an Outlook security feature, usually triggered by an add-in (antivirus,
perhaps). Many of these add-ins have been updated to get around the
security prompts. See if the information on the following page helps:

Thanks for your reply. I understand that though. The problem is that it pops
up for almost EVERY email now no matter who it's from. Even those from my
business partner who uses a Mac cause it to pop up.

If you have any more ideas I'd be very grateful.

And I understood you, but you didn't indicate whether you have any add-ins
installed that would be triggering this response on virtually every message
you receive. If you do, you will have to deal with that add-in -- either
disable it, or get an updated version that doesn't cause Outlook to flip
out. There really are no other options in this case.

As an off-topic aside -- please quote the relevant parts of the thread when
you reply, so those of us who hide previously read messages in our
newsreaders can follow the conversation better. Thanks.
