Accessed denied to user account

I’ve make a full backup of my hard drive using XP backup. Sometime later I
purchased a new HD and restored this full backup to the new drive.
Everything works fine except that I can’t access old email on one of the
three XP user accounts. I had three XP user accounts set up before and after
the BU, one of those accounts (mine) had an account user password set, the
others didn’t. When I logged on as either of the two user accounts without
the passwords, they loaded up fine and all email (inbox and offline folders)
are present and working. When I logged on to the PW account, and opened my
email it acted as if the email was never set up. I went in and inserted the
necessary email account info. Outlook set it up as a new account and grabbed
all the new email I received since the last time I accessed my mail server,
but all old email and offline folders were gone. Using windows file
explorer, I went into tried to access my user account folder, but access was
denied. I’ve tried to open it in DOS to at least get a directory of the
folder, and again access denied. I’ve read many MS articles, but haven’t
found any that helped. I’ve verified that the user account PW is the same as
it was before the backup, and I didn’t do any other encryption to the file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
George
