Access97 report to excel

Obviously I work at a lender and lender's software is
usually not cutting edge. I am trying to export an access
97 report to excel 97 and I keep getting an "Overflow"
error message. I have installed SR-2b and it did not
help, I have a feeling this may have to do with the ODBC
driver. Can anyone help?
