Access97 Report Vertical Labels

I'm only a wizard prodder, but I can paste code.

First I tried using the unbound object frame to 'import' a single row of
vertical text columns from Excel97. My problem is that I can never get the
column widths set so as to have all the 'labels' line up correctly for the
detail section which has 31 fields accross a landscape page.

Next I tried using the unbound object frame to 'link' a single row of vertical
text columns from an Excel97 file. I thought this would allow me to tweek the
column widths in the Excel file. However, changes to the Excel file do not
show up in the access report. Maybe I've done something wrong here.

Is there code that I can use to have Access97 write vertical labels?

Stephen Lebans has a couple of solutions for Rotated Text that I believe
work with Access 97.

Do a search at http://www.lebans.com

Thanks very much. I did get the linked object to work, but I don't like having
one program depend on another program existing in order to run. Steven's
database beats linking or importing all hollow.
