access2007 reports

I have reports from an access database that I could analyze with excel in
version 2003. Then I could email the excel file to be used elsewhere. With
2007 ther doesn't seem to be a way to get the report into excel. The only
thing I can think of it to just run the query and that can be exported to
excel. I am using the trial version of office 2007 because the person that
is now using the database has 2007 and I need to be able to help her. Any
ideas on why 2007 won't let you analyze a report in 2007?

Sorry about the bad news, but this feature is not available in A2007 due to
Microsoft losing a legal battle.
The workaround is to export a query instead.
You can export the query used for the report, or you may get a better result
by formatting, using calculated fields, using sorting and grouping on the
query.

As Janette mentioned, that functionality is no longer available in Access
2007. Here's a Microsoft KB article with some possible workarounds:

You cannot export a report to an Excel format in Access 2007

Do you have a link to anything regarding this decision? And how are they
going to stop users that have Access 2003 from utilizing Reports - Analyze
with Excel?

This theory about a losing a lawsuit seems preposterous, where is the proof?
Arent they both in fact MS products.....Did MS lose against theirselves?

It was completely rediculous to remove this functionality, period! It's no
wonder people / businesses have such a growing dislike for MS products and
migrate to open source.

Arvin, the workarounds that you keep linking are as someone else said, and I
quote "Laughable"! Please do not patronize this intelligent community with
nonsensical, nonefficient workarounds. Please help the consumers work to get
the main issue resolved.....namely put the functionality back. Is there
anyone with authority we can contact about getting this accomplished?

Thanks,

Robert

I have to agree these work arounds are a joke. we need to be able to produce
charts and tables in excel for distribution. none of these worka rounds can
easily be automated since i can not use outlook 2207. WAY TO GO MS. back to
using 2003. 2007 is too cumbersome. good thing we hav e not purchased it!
