Access2007 multiple users problem

In testing Access 2003 application using Access2007 (not converting) users
reported that only one person was allowed in. Additional persons got a
system locked type of message.

Is there something in the 2007 set-up we could have missed to allow multiple
concurrent users? Any other ideas as to why?

Thanks.

The most obvious setting to consider would be to make sure the Default Open
Mode is 'shared' under:
Office Button | Access Options | Advanced

(Note that the actual open mode is determined by the first user into the
database.)

Thanks, Allen. I'll check that out.

Jet and ACCDB give random unexplained locking problems.

only by moving to a true client-server database-- like SQL Server--
can you really meet the requirements of 'allowing multiple people to
work on a database at the same time'
