1-Do you have to disable popup blocker to ask a question?
2-I was told to use my outlook express but don't understand how to
coordinate it with the forum. I go on line and login in with my hotmail
address then ask a question after disabling popups. I get a reply in hotmail
but when I click on the link, I get to the forum but not the specific
question.
Someone gave me reading but I don't know the easiest way to participate
which I really would like to do. Thank you for any help.

If you are using Outlook Express for newsgroups there is no need to disable your pop-up blocker.

To learn how to use Outlook Express for newsgroups, open OE and go to Help > Contents and Index. Read the section entitled Viewing and Posting to Newsgroups.

In order to use newsgroups with a newsreader like Outlook Express, you need an account with a news provider, normally your ISP. If your ISP offers newsgroups they will have complete instructions on how to setup OE. If your ISP does not offer newsgroup service, you'll need to find a provider. There are 'free' providers and 'for pay' providers. Generally speaking, the 'for pay' providers give you better service and more features.
