I do I edit files with the extension MDB?

You need to install the appropriate version of Access, which is part of
Office Professional.

Unfortunately, all versions of Access produce files with an extension of
..MDB, but they're not upwards compatible (few products are, though!). If
you've got, say, Access 97 installed, you will not be able to edit files
created by Access 2000, Access 2002 or Access 2003.
