I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT BOTH PROGRAMS AND I AM KIND OF CONFUSED ON HOW THEY
COMPARE OR CONTRAST, MY QUESTION IS "HOW DO ACCESS AND EXCEL DIFFER?"

Excel is a spreadsheet:
Great for working with numbers and truing out different things and analyzing
the numbers.

Access is a database
Great for sorting and working with large amounts of data. I easy to set up
data entry features etc.

I just wanted to add that if you are working with very large numbers of
records, Excel can not handle it.
