Access to User Accounts

The hard drive on my PC crashed and I rebuilt my computer with a new
HardDrive. I have now put the old crashed Hard drive back in the machine as a
second hard drive to try and recover my data. This worked just fine, and I
was able to get most of my stuff, except for all my documents and music that
I had ripped. This is in a directory called "E:\Documents and Settings\Dave".
When I try to access it, I get a "Access Denied" error, from both Windows
Explorer and the command line. I did have a password setup for that User
Account, so I'm guessing that had something to do with it.

Any tips on how to get around that?

You need to take ownership of the files. Take a look here for
the procedure:

How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP

Note: If you are running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, you
must start the computer in safe mode, and then log on with an
account that has Administrative rights to have access to the
Security tab. To start in Safe Mode, reboot your computer and
start tapping the F8 key as soon as you see anything displayed
on the screen. Keep hitting F8 until the Advanced Startup
Options menu appears. Use the up and down arrow keys on your
keyboard to select Safe Mode. Hit Enter.

Good luck
