I am trying to access the hosts file in Vista to add in a line that will
prevent Intellitxt. However, whenever I try to save it, I get a message that
my access has been denied. I am the admin. and if I right click on the file
I do not get the Run as Administrator option.

Edit the security properties/advanced to add your username as an
authenticated user with permissions.

You need to run the editor (Notepad?) as administrator in order to modify the HOSTS file contents. Right-click on the program and choose "Run as Administrator".
