Access to Internet Explorer

When I try to get access to IE, I get the following box:

Microsoft Visual C++ Run Time Library
Runtime error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more inflormation.

Can anyone help? I am running XP SP 2, I think it was IE 6.

Try uninstalling the Google toolbar using Control Panel-Add/Remove.
