Im a teacher at a local high school. I work with students on a program
called skill pro by Amatrol. The only thing is some of the students seem to
take it upon themselves to delete random programming. Is there any way to
limit their acess so that they only things the kids are permitted to do is
accesss the programs and not delte the programs and settings themselves.

You may find the following a possible solution:

Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit for Windows XP

Your IT Dept. should have all computer lab workstations set up with
severely restricted permissions on a domain. Also look at Deep Freeze
by Faronics. There is no way your users should be able to delete
anything like "random programming" on a workstation.

Caution: Read the documentation well before you spend much time
on that. From your question, I respectfully submit that you do
not have the expertise required to use that toolkit. It requires
things like creating a specific amount of unpartitioned space on
the drive etc., plus has some pretty "scary" removal instructions
if it turns out you don't want to continue with it.
Read the instructions fully and completely before starting
into it.

IMO you should read up on user privileges and account settings
for the students. Your IT dept, if you have one, should be able
to help you out. Or, maybe one of the whiz-kids in an upper
class.
