Access to excel, export?

I am trying to export data from Access to Excel, but the formatting is
incorrect on the other end. Is there a way to format the information before
it's exported to excel.

Create a query against the table(s). Inside the query (design view), modify
the data types (and or formatting). For example, you can use the CInt()
function to convert a number to an Integer value.
