Access Snapshot Viewer error on opening report

We are running Access 2003 preimum and some of the people who are sent Access
snapshot reports can't open them. The error message screen that comes up
simply states that there is an error with no help option or any additional
information on what the error is, also out IT personnel looked and there is
not any error loging in the error log. We use many databases and this is
happening across all databases. Sometimes you will get the error and
somtimes you won't. Also if you get the error you can immediatly try to
click again and it will open.

We are looking for any ideas, our IT person tried to reinstall viewer and
that did not solve the issue.

Thanks,

You can just use the Database window to select the report
and use Copy/Paste to make a duplicate. Then. if the data
tables have the same field names, all you have to do is
change the report's record source query.

If you really need to make separate copies of the report,
then that is symptomatic of something funny in your table
structure. Ideally, all the data is in one set of tables,
in which case you would only need to apply a filtering
mechanism to the data so you can use the exact same report
for all the states.

The data is not necessarily all in the same table, but unless we are having
the same problem in 4 - 5 different databases created by different people
this isn't answering the question. We are using snapshot to send via e-mail
in a manner where the receiver can't change the data in the report but must
log into the database to make any changes.

You are absolutely correct. I don't know how it happened,
but that was supposed to reply to a different thread.

Since I have never needed to use the snapshot viewer, all
I've accomplished is messing over your thread, for which I
apologize.

If no one else jumps in to bail me out soon, start a new
thread and add "Repost: " to your Subject.
