I'm doing some research on the overall security of
Microsoft Access. Can anyone point me to a place where I
can find information on how secure (or not) a Microsoft
Access database is (perhaps compared to other solutions)?
Thanks in advance!

Access security keeps honest people honest. As a desktop database system,
it's as secure as anything out there. There are several tools available on
the web that will retrieve usernames and passwords from even the most
well-secured Access database. If your data is extremely sensitive or the
theft of your data would be damaging, then you should likely opt for a more
secure data storage solution like MS SQL, Oracle etc etc

BTW, Google on "ms access security" and read up on the newsgroup postings
regarding this
