My database was developed in Acces 97 and NT. Company have upgraded to Xp and
2003. I have converted the database to 2003, but since then it only allows
one user if you double-click on the database icon.

If you open the database from the file-open menu, after first loading
Access, you can have as many users as you like.

Database is set to 'shared'. Company IT say the folder permissions are ok.

Any ideas anyone?

The users normally get into the program through a shortcut in a shared
folder. Could try setting up another shortcut if you think it would help.

As noted, using that shortcut on the server is not a good idea, but that
is not the same issue I referred to in my reply to the other thread. Do
consider splitting the database if it is not already split.
