Access for recovery of data from NTFS partition - Windows2000

In my system Windows2000 Profession NT is operating
system. Recently, NTDETECT failed problem does not
allowed to access any data or programmes. After
exhausting all our possible repair efforts, we tried the
hard disk as slave in other system to recover the
data, "access denied" warning halted us from recovering
data. Can you kindly guide me to recover data from NTFS
partition with password protection for the directories.

There is no file password protection feature in Windows 2000. Try taking
ownership of the drive.
