Access FE SQL server BE

I have a A2k FE connected to an SQL server 2000 BE via an
ODBC DSN Connection. It works fine when set it for the
first time. Logout and login and it fails. Delete the DSN
connection and re-create it and it works until you logout.
What should I check to find the cause of this problem?
