I am using a excel for a roll book, and I would like to make a report in
access to go into excel and retrieve the name and Quarter attendance %. and
organice from highest to lowest.

Can this be done.

You have posted this message to the wrong news group.
The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.
I would suggest you post to the appropriate Excel newsgroup.

I think fredg jumped the gun and missed the Access part of the question.

The following is from the Access Help File

a.. Import or link data from Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange You
can use the Exchange Import Wizard or the Outlook Import Wizard to import or
link data from Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server. For example,
you might want to link to your Microsoft Outlook Contacts folder and then
create form letters and mailing labels by merging the data with the
Microsoft Word Mail Merge Wizard.

I would assume you would want to link to the Excel file to obtain the
information you need in access.

If you need more help, more information about the information about the
specific information and its format in Excel and exactly what you want to do
with it in Access would be helpful.
