Access developer edition

Ron

Can anyone advise which version of Access I should
purchase to create a runtime version of an Access
database. I am at present using Access 2000, but it is not
a Developers Edition.

I understand that the Developes Edition is what I need,
but do not see it for sale anywhere and think MS might
have changed its name to something different.

Thank you in advance for any assistance or ideas about
this.

Hi Ron,

You need to buy the Microsoft Office 2000 Developers edition which is
unfortunately, rather difficult to find since it is such an old version of
Access/Office. Using Google, I found several copies for sale by several
sources but "Buyer Beware". You might be able to get a legitimate copy -
just be careful.

You might want to consider upgrading to Office 2003. For Access 2003 you
can purchase Microsoft Visual Studio Tools. This product contains the
Developer Extensions which include a royalty-free Access Runtime enabling
distribution of Access solutions. For more info see the following:

Hi Sandra,

Thank you for the information, I will look into it and see
if I can locate a legitimate copy.
