I have created a data base in Access 2003 and have used
the font "Palatino Linotype" in most of the fields. My
problem is that when I copy this data base to a computer
that runs Access 2000, all the fonts change to "Times New
Roman" and in caps, indicating that the "Palatino
Linotype" font is not on this computer. I knaw that you
cannot copy a font from one computer to another. Is
there any way I can solve this?

With thanks
Roger

Choose a font you can be confident that your destination computers will
have.

Roger,

Of course you can copy fonts from one machine to another. Simply find the
font in your Windows/Fonts directory, copy it to a disc, then copy it to your
destination machine in the Windows/Fonts directory. It's that simple... Good
Luck!

Now it is best if you don't want to worry about loading a special font each
time you change machines, to stick with the default Sans Serif font which is
standard in the Windows installation.

Font designs are copyright like any other intellectual property. While it is
certainly technically possible to copy the font to another PC, it may be
illegal. Anyone wishing to distribute a Linotype font would be well advised
to talk to Linotype (www.linotype.com, (e-mail address removed)) first.
