Access Denied

W2K to XP Pro upg. On way, something happened. Can view contents of partitions on Adaptec 1200A ATA RAID array in Explorer, but not write to them ("Access denied," and yes, I have full administrator privileges). Windows Update also cannot write to these partitions, but XP installed into them.
Any ideas????
