I was installing a Bellsouth share program at a time when an important
Excel document was open. After installing the program, the Excel file
would not allow me to exit and save changes (the changes were not
important). I exited wiithout saving changes and now I cannot open
the file, copy it, or attach it to an email. I can see the file in
Explore, but it is not recognized with I do a search on it.
When I attempt to open the file I get the message " Excel cannot
access 'file name'. The document may be read-only or encrypted." I
have checked the properties and the read only box is not checked and
the file is not being shared.
The file is small but very important and I do not have a back-up. I
have Windowns XP Home Edition.
