Access denied when synchronizing offline folders

Using XP Pro with SP1 and connected to a network
domain. 'My Documents' (on my desktop) is pointing to a
network drive and folder. When attempting to 'Make
Available Offline' an error occurrs while synchronizing
the files: 'Unable to make My Documents available offline
on ....... Access is denied'.
I have noticed that whichever folder on the network drive,
that I point "My Documents' to synchronize, in only that
folders properties, the 'Read only' attribute is checked.
Non of the other folders on the network drive have this
checked.
