Access Denied when deleteing some files

I have some files that I can't delete. When attempting to become owner as
administrator I get an error "An error occurred attempting to read the
directory: COM3
Access is denied.

At one point I was able to run this command with the following results:

D:\>rmdir \\.\D:\inetpub\carealot\ftp\test /s/q

But now when I run it after trying to take owner ship of what files I can
.... I get:

denied.
\\.\D:\inetpub\carealot\ftp\test\test\test\test\test\test\COM2 - Access is
denied.
\\.\D:\inetpub\carealot\ftp\test\test\test\test\test\test\COM3 - Access is
denied.
\\.\D:\inetpub\carealot\ftp\test\test\test\test\test\test\COM4 - Access is
denied.


So I am at a complete loss on how to delete them. I can't restart and I
can't format.

Been there done that. Got a access denied. And could not get posix to
work.
