Thank you for responding.
I have had several problems with my one month old gateway
system running XP. I got to a position were I needed to
reformat the hard drive. In order to keep from loosing
data I switched hard drives and reformatted the new drive
with Windows XP.
I can now get data from all the folders in the old drive
except for the files in a folder for the owner.
(D:\documents and settings\owner) I get an error
message "Access is denied". I have checked the
properties of the files and even shared the files and I
still cannot access the files. I am logged on as
administrator for the newly formatted drive.
Any suggestions.
Thanks again
Robert
