access denied help!!

I replaced a computer for a client on their home network, and the other
computer on the network is unable to access some of the folders on the new
computer. The computer shows up in My network places, I can connect to the
CDRive, Documents and Settings, but when I try to connect to the user's
folder where data resides, I get access denied. The users are the same on
both computers. They are running Windows XP Home.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Have you run the "Setup a Home Network Wizard" on the new machine?

I did not do that, because it is not the way I set up networks; I have
found that if someone runs that wizard it messes up configurations. I set
his network up when the old computer was in place and all was well.
