Access Denied from Win XP Pro to Win XP Home system in same workgroup

I just setup a small (2 system) peer-to-peer network for a client. One
system is running Windows XP Home SP 2 while the other is running
Windows XP Media Center 2005. I've set both systems to the same
workgroup and turned on simple file sharing in both. Currently, there
is only one user who has the same username/password setup on both
systems.

I can see each system from the other on the network. I can see the
shared folders on the Media system from the Home system. However, I
cannot see the shared folders on the Home system from the Media system.
I've tried everything including installing the NWLink protocol on both
(I've found in the past that this stabilizes peer-to-peer networks),
verified that the Guest account is active on both systems, verified
that the shared folders are properly shared. But still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure that I understand the problem. You say that you can see
each system from the other on the network, but that the Media system
can't see the shared folders on the Home system. How does the Media
system see the Home system, and what does it see?

Can you ping the Home system from the Media system? If not, a
firewall on the Home system is probably blocking all access.

Can you ping the Home system by IP address, but not by computer name?
If so, make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on both
computers.
