Access Denied Drive C (norton message)

Each time I boot up I get an access denied drive C message from Norton. I have entirely uninstalled all software then reloaded with the same results. The problem occured after working with administrative tools under computer management. The Drive C is listed as a system drive. I dont remember it being that way before. Is this why I get the error message and how do I change the drive type? if that is what I need to do.

Norton what?

Do you have Zone Alarm 5.x installed. The Zone alarm firewall has known
problems with utilities such as chkdsk and others that need full disk access
during boot.

Please remember that those who read your posts cannot see what occurs as
your computer boots nor read your mind.
