Access denied after a simple operation

I find that after doing something very simple to a file I then cannot do
anything with the folder it is in.
e.g., if I view a file and close it then I cannot move, delete or rename the
folder it is in!

This happens with any files/folders on this PC!

To be able to do something with the folder I have to reboot.

Any ideas Please!

Sounds like the viewer you use locks the file. Here are some
options:
- Close the viewer after use.
- Use a different viewer.
- Use the Task Manager to close the viewer forcibly.

Thanks Pegasus,

You may have offered me help on this before.

My first example is misleading. Another example is:-
If I select a file in a folder and click it again as if to edit the
filename, but merely click away, so not changing anything, the folder still
says Access denied if I try to delete, rename, move that folder!!
In other words, if I do anything to the contents of any folder, simple or
involved, that folder cannot be deleted, renamed or moved without me
rebooting!

I have used it and found it works and usefully too!

I am still puzzled why the situation is occurring?
Certainly until recently, I have not had this problem. I can see no reason
why when, for example, I have renamed a file that the folder should become
access denied.

Thanks
Nigel
