I upgraded to Server 2003 the users can open the database but it is
read-only. How can I fix this problem?

Hi Gina,

Check the network users' rights and privileges to the folder where your DB
resides. All network users must have full rights to the folder.

you should also check the 'readonly' bit

if you burnt everything to cd / dvd and then copied it to the new
server; you might just need to right-click on the file and uncheck
'readonly'

Yes they all have full rights to the folder I also checked the attributes to
make sure the file was not read only

then one of your users might be opening it exclusively.

yet another reason that MDB is too big of a pain in the ass for real
world use.

I would reccomend using Access Data Projects instead
