access database on a network

Hi,

We have an access database created with access 2000 that we were sharing
with two computers we need two people to access the database at the same
time, update records etc. We had this database on Windows ME and it worked
fine and hardly ever crashed. We have now upgrades to Windows Vista Business
and to Office 2007. We converted the databse to Acess 2007 and now it one
user opens it works fine but as soon as the other user tries and opens the
database crashed. Is this a known issue and any segestions for a solution?

Possibly this issue?
Access may stop responding when you open a remote database

Also, is this database split into two files? If not, you should create a
front-end (FE) application file and a back-end (BE) data file. The FE file
should be on each users local hard drive. Only the BE file should be shared.
