Hi

I was wondering if it's possible in Windows XP
Professional to specify certain tasks and programs that
can and cannot be accessed by others. Or more specifically
is it possible to edit user settings to allow them access
to certain things on the PC

Thanks

You might be interested in a new utility I've written, Windows XP Security
Console. www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities section.

Otherwise, if you're in a domain environment, you can use the Group Policy
Editor (GPEDIT.MSC) to apply settings to users/groups. In a non-domain
environment (stand alone or peer-peer network) GPEDIT applies the policies
to all users of the computer.
