Access and add to a Word Document via the net?

Is it possible to access and add to a Word document via the internet? I am trying to learn how to use FP 2002 and thought I would try to add a shopping list to my website that the wife and I could access and add to from work

If I can't do it with a Word doc what can I use

I think you could do this fairly easily by setting a subweb (for safety
sake) and you could put .doc or .txt or even .htm files in it.
You'll just add it to "my network places" and when you open your chosen
editor just file/ open/ browse to it via my network places/ filename.
