PROBLEM
I have an Access 2000 databse I developed on a Windows 2000 machine.
This application uses custom menus with VB code to turn the menu items
on and off depending on what forms are active.

Several users, not all, mentioned that the menu bar items were missing
when they selcted a customized menu item (hope Im being clear in this)
.. After much reseach I beleive (know) the issue stems from installing
Acrobat 7.0 on the effected machines.

On my machine, if I have the database open and do a compact and repair,
when the app opens up (auto open form) the menus work. However the next
time I open the database it is back to missing menu items.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
I have unistalled Acrobat 7.0 and this only made things worse because
when I do a comapct and repair the menu items do not show up.

I reinstalled Acrobat and now it behaves the same as before removing
Acrobat.

Next I logged in as the adminstrator, modified the regestry so that the
Acrobat PDFMaker would not load when opening Access, logged back in as
myself and it behaved the same as when I had unistalled Acrobat.

When I went to change the registry back I moved the database to a
shared folder and launched it logged in as the administrator and low
and behold it worked perfect. With that I had several other people log
on to my machine and it works fine for them also.

I can not find anything on the web about this and have been looking for
days. Can some one tell me what I am missing and how to recover from it.

Mr. Labans; I must be missing something. I did the search you
recommended and found nothing related to my post. As I said I have been
searching websites, user groups, Microsoft & Adobe websites and have
only found a few entries refering to this issue, none of them with a
solution that has worked for me.
